Abstract


Introduction. Stunting is the impaired growth that occurs due to chronic malnutrition or chronic infectious disease in infants / children under five years of age, marked by a z-score of less than -2SD / standard deviation (stunted) and less than -3SD (severely stunted). One of the causative factors is on the mother. The teenagers’ readiness in starting a marriage including physical, mental and social health impact their capabilities to become mothers who do good parenting including providing nutritional intake on their children. Young (immature) marriage has more effects of unreadiness. Marriage readiness can be given in reproductive health education. Research Method. This research is a descriptive analytic study. The research design was cross sectional. Education carried out in the form of counseling. The respondents are all of the teenagers in Kadumanueh village.  Result. Teenagers in the age of 10-18 years had the highest frequency, namely 34 people (79.1%), women attended the most, as many as 30 people (69.8%). Most respondents were in senior high school or equivalent, counting 23 people (53.5%). From the paired T test on the pre-test and post-test, the P value was less than 0.001 which means significant. Conclusion. Providing understanding through counseling on teenagers’ reproductive health and its impact on stunting was declared successful.
