Abstract


“EMPOWERMENT OF HOUSEHOLDS THROUGH THE ESTABLISHMENT OF INDEPENDENT ENTREPRENEUR (Training on Making, Production and Marketing of Patchwork Ornaments)”. is a program initiated by the Faculty of Economics and Business, YARSI University, in order to implement one of the Three Principles of Higher Education, namely Community Service (PKM). It is a program that aims to create independent entrepreneurs among housewives, young women and community cadres to increase family income and economic standard of living. Starting from the problem of lack of income and how it can be answered by utilizing free time, sewing skills, and remaining patchwork waste in the household. By using training methods and hands-on practice in making patchwork art, produce and market these products through the available marketing media. The solution offered is to provide training for making patchwork waste decorations. The results of this program, if implemented consistently, are proven to be able to maximize the ability of housewives, young women and PKK cadres to increase income through the manufacture, production and marketing of patchwork waste decoration products that they do.
