Abstract


The use of social media in Indonesia is very high. Any information can be found on various social media. Ease of access allows anyone to provide, modify, and share information. So that the large amount of information spread makes students unable to distinguish which ones need to be trusted and which are not. This is also supported by a lot of HOAX information which is often detrimental and dangerous. The students need the ability to evaluate information spread on social media. This Community Service activity plan is a form of learning for students in order to achieve information literate students. The number of participants in this activity was 52 people consisting of high school students, teachers and school librarians. The activity was carried out in the form of direct training using the Zoom Meeting application and assistance for 1 week using the Whatsapp Group. Comparison of the results of the pretest and posttest shows an increase in knowledge and skills in evaluating information.
