Abstract


Narcotics, Psychotropics, and other Addictive Substances or abbreviated as DRUG are substances / substances / drugs which when they enter the human body will affect the body, especially the brain / central nervous system, causing physical, psychological and social health problems due to habit, addiction ( addiction) and dependence (dependence) on drugs. The impact of drugs is very dangerous for humans. Drug abuse can damage human health, both physically, emotionally and in the behavior of the user. In fact, the use of excessive doses or what is known as an over dose (OD) can lead to death. Drug users will experience physical problems, emotional instability, and behavior changes to negative behaviors that harm themselves and their surroundings.

The problem of drug abuse has broad and complex dimensions, from a medical, psychiatric, mental health, and psychosocial perspective. Drug users can destroy the structure of family life, the community and the school environment, even directly or indirectly a threat to the continuity of development and the future of the Indonesian nation and state. Observing the development of drug trafficking and use among adolescents is very worrying, because drugs clearly threaten the future of the nation's children. With drug side effects education can provide understanding to students about the types of drugs, and their side effects on health and student behavior
